Paint outdoors with
Stephen Henning
Landscape painter
Stephen Henning is perhaps best known for his many paintings inspired
by Glendalough State Park. Henning has also received many
honors and recognitions since he started to work in oil pastels late in
2005, and recently was awarded signature status in the Oil Pastel
Society. This summer he will be sharing his techniques
in two workshops for beginning as well as experienced artists,
working on location at Glendalough.
Henning feels
working with oil pastels has really helped him grow as an artist,
and he is very enthusiastic about encouraging others to try this
art medium: "I think artists and art students will enjoy the
experience of working with something new, like oil pastels.
Cost-wise, it is a relatively inexpensive art medium, and it is very fun
to work with."

Each workshop will
be a full day, from 9 to 4, so participants can have plenty of
time to work with the oil pastels, and will receive lots of personal
attention from the instructor.
The registration
fee is $70 per workshop, or $120 for both sessions.
Limit: 20 students. [Note: Henning's workshops usually fill
quickly, so register early!] Participants should pack a
lunch. Please RSVP by July 10, so you may get a supply
list and have time to stock up, by calling 218-948-2288, or by
email.
